Redefining Sainthood
On May 1st, 2011, Pope John Paul II was beatified just six years after his death, bringing him one step closer to becoming a Catholic saint. The relative speed of this process has caused some to bring into question the late pontiff’s past shortcomings. What should be considered when making someone a saint?
