For the first time this year, two posters were featured.
The first one was created by artist Grace Zong for the Children's Alley.
Born in Evanston, Illinois, Zong moved to South Korea at seven. she returned the U.S. to study illustration at Rhode Island School of Design.
She has been spending her time between the U.S and South Korea ever since where she works as a teacher and translator. Her first picture book was published in 2010, Orange Peel's Pocket.
The restaurant was full with authors and book lovers and they all anticiated the 2011 fair which features a great line up of new authors and international ones.
The reception lasted two hours and the crowd enjoyed hors d'oeuvres from the restaurant such as egg rolls, gourmet pizza, smoked salmon or spinach empanadas.
Alina Interián and Mitchell Kaplan hosted the evening.
Both posters received great feedbacks from the crowd. Some even said that it was the best poster they ever saw for the book fair as it showcases colors and diversity, traits similar to the city of Miami.
