Fannie Mae on Monday announced the opening of a mortgage help center in Miami for South Florida homeowners who have loans owned by the government-run mortgage company. Borrowers can discuss foreclosure alternatives with housing counselors who speak English and Spanish. To determine if Fannie Mae owns their mortgages, borrowers should go to http://www.fanniemae.com/loanlookup or contact the agency at 800-7FANNIE. The center is available by appointment only. Homeowners who want to schedule an appointment should call 877-208-3652.
