Class System in the Caribbean
Ingrained in Caribbean culture is an unfortunate system of bias based on someone's race, ethnicity, income, and pedigree.  We discuss the origins of this class system and the way it influences both island life and large Caribbean-American communities abroad, such as South Florida.

Religious Landscape of the Caribbean
The Caribbean region is mostly Catholic, yet there seems to be plenty of space for the practicing of other beliefs, such as Voodooism and Rastafarianism.  How can Voodooism and Catholicism co-exist in Haiti?  What other faiths are practiced in the Caribbean?

Carnival in Miami This Weekend

After 6 years of feuding, Broward's and Miami's Carnival will come together as 'One'.  The Miami-Broward One Carnival, which was one of the topics of last month's Pulse, will be this Sunday, October 11th at Miami's Bicentennial Park.
