At the end of the 2010 Election Polling segment, host Helen Ferre cited a Politico article stating that the Senate race is Charlie Crist's to lose. In a quick comment I said "I agree" but did not give a "but" - The "but" is that Marco Rubio is probably going to get another bounce in the polls before it is all over. He will receive lots of attention from the national GOP machine and conservative pundits. This could tighten the race. Also, if Jeff Greene beats Kendrick Meek for the Democratic nomination, then Greene can spend big bucks to bloody both Crist and Rubio with negative ads. Not that Greene will win the Senate seat, but he could change the dynamics between Charlie and Marco by muddying the waters. So it is Charlie Crist's race to lose, but his opponents will be gunning for him hard after the August 24 primary election.
