ADDRESSING LEONARD PITTS JR. APPEARANCE ON WPBT2 ISSUES 11/29/09 MR. PITTS SPOKE ABOUT BLOGGERS AND CITIZENS REPORTING THE NEWS (INDEPENDENT) AND EVEN MENTIONED A STORY CONCERNING THREATS OF BODILY HARM. SUGGESTING SUCH(AS IT SOUNDED ANYWAY) FOR ONES ENGAGED IN THOSE PRACTICES. WELL I WOULD LIKE MR. PITTS TO "THINK OF" SEEING IT THIS WAY......WHEN WE ALL WERE CHILDREN WE WOULD DRAW. EVEN IN SCHOOL. MANY STOPPED BECAUSE SOMEONE TOLD THEM "YOU CAN'T DRAW!" AND THOSE ACTIONS BY OTHERS STOPPED MANY FROM BECOMING ARTISTS IN MANY DIFFERENT MEDIAS THAT COULD HAVE SO HELPED THE WORLD IN A VERY POSITIVE WAY. I MYSELF HAVE ONLY READ ONE OR TWO LINES OF HIS COLUMNS AND STOPPED BECAUSE IT WAS SO EASY TO SEE THEY HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IMPORTANT AND CURRENT ISSUES THAT CONCERN THE PEOPLE IN THESE TRYING TIMES. NOT A WELL USE OF PRINT TIME, IN A POSITIVE DIRECTION. JOURNALISM IS CERTAINLY AN "ART" WHEN THE MEDIUM IS USED PROPERLY. NOVELS AND FICTION? DO THE PEOPLE HAVE TIME RIGHT NOW FOR READING THAT "MATERIAL". REMINDS ME OF THE NOVEL H.G. WELLS "WAR OF THE WORLDS" WHAT WORLD ARE YOU IN?
