It was my understanding that the revenues generated from the Florida lottery were supposed to go to improving our education system (am I wrong?). Before we raise the Florida sales tax one penny can Mr. Mayo or anyone at Issues provide us with the Florida lottery’s 2008 financial statement? Namely, how much money was actually taken in? How much of that money went to education? And where did the rest of it go (unless 100% went to education, of course)?
