The Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival will honor film legend, Claire Bloom, with a lifetime achievement award on Saturday, November 6 at 5:00 p.m. The event will take place at Cinema Paradiso in Fort Lauderdale during a screening of Charlie Chaplin’s film, “Limelight,” which propelled Bloom to stardom.
Bloom has led an extensive and successful career in film, theatre and television. She has starred in films such as “Alexander the Great” and “The Haunting” and even appeared on the daytime drama, “As the World Turns,” for two seasons. She has achieved multiple awards including two British Academy of Film and Television Awards and a Promising Newcomer to Films Award for her work in “Limelight.”
Guest will have the opportunity to meet Ms. Bloom prior to the screening at a special reception in her honor. The reception will take place at 4:30 p.m. Ticket information for the screening and reception is available at fliff.com. Come out and meet a true film legend!
