Check, Please! South Florida returns this week with an exciting line-up of restaurants and a panel of gregarious guest reviewers. The recommended dining spots ran the gamut from old-school Italian food served up in a barn in the midst of downtown Miami... to a truly 'homey' lunch spot in downtown Ft. Lauderdale, where two sisters whip up seasonal dishes inspired by their backyard garden...to a trendy burger bar in Miami Beach that caused one of our guests to "fall in love with the burger" all over again. (By the way, if burgers are what you're craving, our media partner Cravings South Florida magazine offers a listing of other South Florida burger joints you may want to check out.)
As always, this show would not be possible without the very generous support of our sponsors. Season 5 comes to you courtesy of George & Helen Weaver, Badia Spices, Whole Foods Market, Southern Wine & Spirits, and Global Capital Financial Group. A big thanks goes out to them for the financial support that keeps Check, Please! South Florida in production.

Natalie -- You are referring to Victoria's Peruvian in Lantana/Lake Worth area. And you are correct, somehow it was inadvertently left off of our Restaurant Page. We will correct the problem ASAP, but in the meantime, you can find it on our "Series" page: http://channel2.typepad.com/checkpleasefl/series.html
Scroll down to find "Episode 304" and you'll find all the info there.
Thanks for watching and for your feedback!

Caught an episode last week about a Peruvian restaurant in Lantana. Can't find it on Google or on your list. I thought it was called Veronica's. Help--I'd like to try it out.

I just wanted to comment on how GREAT this show is, I started watching last season and I got hooked. I am having a lot of fun trying the different local restaurants and have found myself trying to find a great hot spot to submit for a future show. I love the cooking tips and Michelle! Keep up the good work!

Hi, Stuart and Mindy. Great question! If a restaurant offers appetizers and desserts, we do try to factor that into the average cost of a meal, along with a mid-range entree, and a gratuity. The only thing we do not factor in is beverage service, as there is a wide ranging cost factor, depending on what you drink.
Thanks so much for watching!
