There was lots of excitement in the WPBT2 studio this week as Check, Please! South Florida returned to tape some fresh new episodes. Our friends from IKEA gave the set a facelift with a new rich, color scheme and some fun accessories. And of course, our talented host, Chef Michelle Bernstein was on hand, doing what she does best -- cooking up some of her favorite recipes, and making everyone feel 'at home'.
For this next season, our line-up includes restaurants stretching from West Palm Beach to Miami, including a hidden away spot for Indonesian food, a hole-in-the-wall Lebanese market, and upscale Italian cuisine served up in an old farmhouse (surrounded by skyscrapers)!
Our guest reviewers brought a huge helping of enthusiasm and energy, as they joined Michelle to talk about their favorite restaurants. As usual, we had folks from all walks of life...from a fashion designer to a firearms instructor...even a local mayor!
Stay tuned for the new episodes in January. There will be lots of behind-the-scenes photos coming soon to our Facebook page.
A big thanks to our sponsors for this new season, which include Badia Spices, Whole Foods Market, George & Helen Weaver, Southern Wine & Spirits, and Global Capital Financial Group. They make it all possible.

Hi Michelle,
you should look into this mom and pop diner here in Lake Worth, Rustic Diner, its so cute it looks like a vermont B+B,antiques hanging on walls, lots of home made food, not your average place like as far as trends go, and I just found it to be a cozy little place, I met the owner today there after attending breakfast about 3 times, hes actually a local musician, I told them I was going to submit them to you, heres the address, 7028 charleston shores blvd, lake worth ,fl 33467 or the website is www.therusticdiner.com, hope it helps you find them or helps them get on the show
thanks so much,
Mellisa

You need to try the Patio Bar & Grill, located in the new Wyndham Resort in Deerfield Beach!!! Great food, service, and right on the beach, the best view in South Florida!!!

Hello Michelle, I love your program, I think it's great that you bring out the best of our area. Of course, I love your cooking.
I wish to give you a tip on an Italian restaurant that just opened less than 3 months ago. It's called FADDA's. Located at 9564 SW 137 Ave telephone 305-383-6210. The chef is from Sardinia Italy. The food is to die for. Lunch specials from 4.99 to 9.99. Abundant gourmet cooking for those prices. After watching your programs so much I believe this restaurant should be featured in one of them.
Hope this reaches you. And keep up the outstanding job you are doing for south florida cooking.
