From time to time, we hear from some of you with burning culinary quandaries...or just some basic questions about recipes and technique. If you'd like to pose a cooking-related question to talented chef (and host) Michelle Bernstein, here's your chance. Ask away. Post your questions here and she will answer them....just as soon as she can break away from the kitchen.

The name of the Check, Please! theme song is "Top Dawg," composed by Kevin Teasley. Thanks for your interest!

What is the name of the show's theme and who plays it? Thank you.

We love your show. Is it coming back for another season?
Also, I've seen many recipes on cooking shows lately for stuffed squash blossoms. Is there anywhere in south Florida(Broward) where you can purchase them to cook?
Thanks,
Jim Hartley

Hi, Dennis. Michelle is currently out of town, but I wanted to let you know you can check out her involvement with the Common Threads organization here: http://chefmichellebernstein.com/common-threads/
Thanks for your interest....and for watching Check, Please! South Florida.

Michelle,
I love your show and it has allowed me to discover many new and interesting restaurants to frequent thanks to your guests. What I would really like is more information on your nutrition for kids program.
Thanks
Most recently, Bernstein launched the Miami chapter of Common Threads, an after-school program dedicated to teaching underprivileged kids ages 8-11 to cook, socialize, and eat healthy one recipe at a time.

Hi, Jerry. We're not really in the business of recommending spots ourselves (but rather allowing the locals on the show to do that)....however, we can point you to a Chowhound thread on that very topic. Perhaps you'll find a new place or two to check out! Please let us know if you find something that fits the bill. We'd love to hear about it!

Can you recommend a place for really good fruit pies not too far from Delray Beach? Restaurant, or bakery will do. Two years of searching have proven disappointing.

Miami Life Magazine.com would like our VP Promotions, former NFL star Marvin Jones or one of our cover models Claudia Romani (who's also been featured in Maxin and FHM) to participate on your show.
Thanks for you consideration.

Hi Silva Bastajian,
You were not doing anything unusual! The WebKnight software locks down our Web Server from unauthorized access. It's not something that we can do without!
We made a change this afternoon. Please try accessing our website again and let me know if we have resolved the issue.

After watching Dirty Dining on Channel 10 news and how many critical violations some of the restaurants shown here. If you really want to see what is going on regarding the food safety of a restaurant you visit or plan to visit. Go to myfloridalicense.com and in the search part type in the name of a restaurant and you will be shocked. There was one place just shown monday June 14, 2010 and if you read how many critical serious violations it has you would never eat out again.
It is sad how much money is more important than the health safety of a customer. So Michelle please check the places out first before featuring them on your show.

Hi Michelle-
Re: Sun-Sentinel Review. Don't get it. Mr. Tanasychuk seemed to have more problems with the layout of the restaurant more than anything else -
Some problems with the temp on the entree's, but 1 1/2 stars???? I've always wondered why so-called "reviewers" down here (unlike NY) only make 1 visit to a place before they give their opinions - He seemed personally upset??! Anyway, for what it's worth, while Josef & I have not been, all the people we know that have, said it was fantastic! Still hoping you & your family will find time to join us for a proper meal sometime. We're looking forward (I think) to the segment on us next week.
Best Regards -

Hi Michelle: I don't have a culinary question, but I wanted you to know I love this season's review of restaurants. In the past, a number of your guests seemed to take pains to show how much they disliked the other guests' choices. Tonight, for example, everyoine loved each other's choices, and I did as well. One request, can you mention some restaurants in really south Miami I( live at 170 SW in Palmetto Bay). Many thanks, and I love your recipes.
best wishes, Karen

Hi Jeanette,
All of the furnishings on the set, from the sofa, table, and chairs to the window treatments, wine racks, and yes - even the rug- were generously provided by IKEA. The rug you referred to is their ANDREA rug and can be found in their catalog and on their website. Thanks for watching!

Dear Michelle,
We love your show!!! Can you please tell me where you purchased the rug that is under the table where you and your guest sit? I have been looking for that design for a long time with no luck. I would greatly appreciate it!!!
Thanks so much, Jeanette

Michelle, you're a very interesting person and I have followed you on TV. I just made a negative comment about those green apples on the table on "Check, Please" but I don't want you to think I'm negative about you! vb

Hi, Rolando. So glad you're enjoying the Lobster Pasta recipe. You can find the episode (#301) with Michelle's demo of the dish on the WPBT2 Video player at: http://video.wpbt2.org/video/1392290204/
The actual print version of the recipe will be available on our website by the end of the month. Thanks for your patience!

Hi Michelle:
I have made from memory one of the recipes that you recently made in one of the shows. It was Lobster a la Michelle. However , I can't find the episode, nor the recipe. I've made it twice and it is simple and always a hit when I serve it to my family and friends. Can you please provide me with the recipe? I want to make sure I am making it right.
Thank you,
Rolando

Hi, Susan. It's called Victoria's Peruvian Cuisine, located in Lantana. More info on it will be available later today on our page called "The Restaurants". The segment will also be available for viewing online soon. Thanks for watching!

I tuned in late to an episode on February 8. There was a restaurant reviewed that had the word "Peruvian" in the title. Can you please tell me the full name? I think they showed a clip with octupus. Thanks for your help. Great show!

Hi, Sheila & Kate. The crepe recipe can be currently found on our home page -- just scroll down toward the bottom in the center of the page. On Monday, the recipe will change so you'll have to act fast on that one. The meatball and crepe recipes will be soon be posted permanently on our Recipe page. I will post a comment when they're available. Thanks for watching!

Hi, Javier. We don't recommend restaurants....but you might want to check out some of the Broward spots recommended by our guest reviewers on previous shows, and see if any of them fit the bill for you. Some examples are: Eduardo de San Angel (#110), Galanga Thai (#202) Cafe Maxx and Canyon (# 114), Coco Asian Bistro (#109), Sublime & Il Toscano (#205), Sushi Blues (#107), & most recently Casa Bella (#301). They can all be viewed on the "Watch Online" page of our website. Just scroll down in the video player until you see some of these restaurants names, and click on them. Thanks for watching, and we hope you and your wife have a very Happy Anniversary!

We love your show. My anniversary is tomorrow. Can you recommend a romantic place with great food in broward?
Thanks
