Here are 3 ways to stay on top of the South Florida's burgeoning restaurant scene:
1) Follow Check, Please! South Florida on Twitter to get a sneak peek of some of the applications pouring in from South Florida foodies. With nearly a thousand locals applying to be a guest on WPBT2's popular restaurant review show, we can't possibly broadcast all of the great restaurant recommendations. So, we'll let you in on a few of the juicy tidbits with regular tweets pulled from application excerpts. Just another way we hope to get the word out about local culinary gems.
2) And if you find our fan page on Facebook, you'll get access to some unique behind-the-scenes production news as it happens.
3) Don't forget to tune in to our Season 3 broadcast premiere, Monday January 18th at 7:30 p.m. We'll unveil the first of 5 new shows, which will feature 15 dining spots nominated by as many South Florida foodies, who got the unique chance to chat it up with our host, Michelle Bernstein, in the studio.

Hi.
I am from the NY-NJ area. Have frequent and got to like Portuguese cuisine. I am searching for a Portuguese restaurant in the Ft Lauderdale area. There was one at E. Atlantic Blvd., Pompano Beach, FL. However, every time I call they are closed.
Is there another Portuguese in the vicinity?
Thank you
