To Nora: Depending on where your family originates, Yes, roti bread IS made with chick peas flour. It can be wheat, split pea chick pea flour. Usually a mix of wheat and chick pea from my experience. Ask a few of your Trini friends with family from Guyana, or other islands.
I love watching the show but have one major complaint. The show's title does not contain any information about the episode and so my TIVO records each and every airing since it has no way of knowing whether it already recorded the episode.
Please, please, PLEASE WPBT, add a unique identifier to the show so that my TIVO doesn't record the same episode 8 times.
Thank you to Allan Posner for selecting Hong Kong City BBQ. I lived most of my live in Hawaii and had never found a good Chinese restaurant on the mainland - until I found Hong Kong City. They will even make special things for me and my Hawaiian friends. Its the most authentic Chinese restaurant in S. Florida. I've been going there for 6 years (except for the 1 year they were closed due to a tragedy in the family). Try their whole crispy fish - or fried oysters - or House Crispy Noodles - or anything.... amazing food.
Coco Asian Bistro - After watching the review of this restaurant, we decided to try it for lunch. We have since been back a second time for lunch, and are ready for many more visits. I ordered Pad Thai and my husband something close to it with vegetables. I do not remember the name of his dish. We had a soup of the day each time we went. All I can say is the ambiance is beautiful, the service attentive at the right times and the food excellent for the palate. We cleaned our plates both times and had no place for dessert. The portions are large, and the price is reasonable. We highly recommend it.
DeVito South Beach will be featured in our upcoming 3rd season, which premieres on January 18th. DeVito is in our 2nd show and will air on Monday, 1/25.

friday nite karaoke is GREAT & SO MUCH FUN> the food is great, fresh stone crabs, 3 large size for only $13.95. best breakfast on the beach.what a great way to spend sat. & sundays at the beach. breakfast, lunch dinner. vinnie & glen take care to make sure everyone is happy. you have got to try it.
I treated my daughter to a special congratulation lunch and chose La Cofradia because of your show. We were both very disappointed. The atmosphere or decor was very nice. The waiter was very uninterested and did not offer any tips on ordering or recommendations even when we let him know it was our first visit. we started with the trio of ceviche. Not impressed very tart and no special taste stood out. I was really looking forward to this. My daughter's dish with squid ink was tasty at first few bites but soon was a bit much and she ordered the half portion. We found that the recommendations on the show did not add up at all. Not cheap and nothing great about this food. Wouldn't go again
B&M restaurant on 79th street. I watched your show and was disappointed when the reviewer(Donnamarie Baptiste) who supposedly knows Trinidad food ,made a big big mistake about what goes into the roti, IT IS NOT CHICK PEAS!! Its Splitpeas. I am a Trinidadian who cooks this food and opening a restaurant soon.

What happened to the Paella Grill in Pembroke Pines? The restaurant is now vacant 1 year after your reviewing show.
