Trepidation mixed with excitement as I stepped out of my car and met Jessy outside of a beautiful North Miami Beach apartment building by the water. This was my first interview- ever!
Equipped with a new outfit that fit the interview’s theme to a thread, I found confidence through Jessy’s comforting words. “It is completely natural to feel anxious,” she said. Coming from the mouth of our uVu host, those words weighed more than I expected. I resorted to some breathing exercises as we boarded the elevator to release the rest of my tension. I am not sure if it was a heightened sense of nervousness or a relief from its confines; yet, when I walked into Conni Gordon’s apartment, I was overcome with a sharpened sense of awareness. No longer were my senses numbed by the blinding effects of tension. I was calm, somewhat confident and ready to go.
