Florida's Future
Last week I had a chance to visit with some students from Miami International University of Art & Design. It was the portfolio review day for most of them and despite the crowded hallways and curious onlookers it was great that many of them took the time to share their thoughts about their crafts, their future and their visions reflected through their experiences in South Florida. On what may have been the most important and nerve wracking day of their young lives it was interesting to see their accomplishments and hear about their dreams.
You can take a look at these mini-profiles on our companion site uVu, I think it wil
l give you a real sense of hope about the future, as these young people provide their thoughts and the world of art and design begins to move into their capable hands.
You can find these portraits in the Vlogger's Cafe section or search for keyphrase: Miami International University.
In that same section, you can see a profile of Jessica Ibanez who will be attending Florida International University next term after graduated first in her class from G. Holmes Braddock Senior High School.
Again, if you need to be impressed with and inspired by our South Florida youth, you need to hear from Jessica in her own words.
If you know some young person worth profiling, uVu is a place to tell your story. Anyone can add a video to this site and whether your a proud parent, friend or educator, what better way to help us model exceptional behavior and achievement than letting all South Florida see these shining examples.
