Director
Michal Goldman traces the history of the United Workers Cooperative
Colony — one of four cooperative apartments built in the Bronx in the
1920s by Jewish garment workers. Through interviews with former
tenants, “At Home in Utopia” follows the life of this cooperative
across two generations into the 1950s and explores issues that both
roused the residents to unified action and ripped them apart. By Michal
Goldman and Ellen Brodsky. Premieres Tuesday, April 24 at 11:00 p.m. on WPBT2.
