Alan Cooke is a professional actor and film maker.
He started his career on Stage in 1997, he has performed numerous
Shakespearian Roles , Solo shows and several national tours of
Ireland. He moved to New York in 2001 and completed several off off
Broadway roles, and then developed his own feature documentary film
about his life in New York which has recieved considerable acclaim and
features major A list stars.He is currently based in Ireland where he
continues to act professionally and is developing a project about
Ireland and a book about his journey in New York.
"Home" is a meditation on New York and the concept of home from the
perspective of recent Irish Immigrant, Alan Cooke and features candid
interviews with Liam Neeson, Susan Sarandon, Mike Myers, Rosie Perez,
Alfred Molina, Fran Lebowitz, Pete Hamill, Frank and Malachy McCourt.
